Did you know that Community Home Support Lanark County (CHSLC) is a registered charitable organization? For more than 25 years, CHSLC has helped individuals in our community faced with health challenges. With the help of many dedicated volunteers who donate so generously of their time, we continue to support seniors, adults with physical disabilities and persons who have been diagnosed with a life limiting illness and those at end of life. The services provided by CHSLC ass...ist individuals to remain in their homes. While some of these services such as Volunteer Visiting Hospice as provided free of charge, there are fees for our Transportation and Meals on Wheels. Your donation can help provide a meal to a senior in need or assist a neighbour with the cost of a medical trip. Help us help others in the community by making a donation. All donations receive an official tax receipt and all funds remain in your community. From now through August 31, you can increase your impact with a 50% matching donation from the Bayshore Foundation. Donations made through the link on our website www.chslc.ca will be matched at 50% by the Bayshore Foundation! If you prefer to donate to this campaign by cheque, please make cheques payable to THE BAYSHORE FOUNDATION. Thank you to the Bayshore Foundation and thank you to our community for your continued support!

Happy 102nd Birthday to our dear friend, Irene! You are a strong, kind, caring, intelligent woman. Your achievements are many and leave us in awe. We miss seeing you at our weekly luncheon (darn COVID) and hearing your amazing stories. It is such an honour to know you and call you our friend. You are truly an inspiration to us all! Since we couldnt celebrate the traditional way, thanks to Irenes family and our Client Service Coordinator, Sam, we were able to help Irene celebrate (following physical distancing) with a birthday parade. COVID-19 support for current social assistance clients Ontario has made additional resources available to enable Ontario Works administrators and Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) staff to provide additional assistance for those currently receiving social assistance, who are facing additional costs related to the COVID-19 outbreak.
