Favorite Painting Tools! My studio is full of fun painting tools that I've accumulated over the years but the ones I go back to over and over again are usually ...the ones I didn't buy for art making at all... repurposed plastic and other bits. * Small plastic lids, tubes, applesauce containers, etc., when dipped in paint work beautifully for making circles and other shapes on paper and canvas. * Old gift and credit cards are great for making lines. * Bamboo skewers are fabulous for etching into thick wet paint and even writing on your painting. * Small containers work well for mixing paint and holding water to clean your brushes. * Plastic meat and veggie trays work great as palettes. I've found a ton of ways to repurpose plastic for art making. The only problem is, now everytime I see a piece of plastic I want to wash it and add it to my collection of 'tools.' Click through to see close ups of paintings where I've use some of these tools. (I did buy the sponge brushes specifically for painting. :)) What are your favorie painting tools?
Since when did you question the media? I started questioning since the first time I was a part in their report. It did not matter what the situation, it hardly ever came out correct.Since when did you question the media? I started questioning since the first time I was a part in their report.
