In case you haven’t already played with offering yourselves the gift of Self-Care while isolating at home, please take these suggestions for some good self-nurturing: Keep watering the flowers in your garden of Compassion: towards yourself, towards family and towards your neighbours. Compassion which is *free of judgement, and *full of r...espect and Love. We can’t always see the struggles that someone is having so be as kind as possible to everyone. What are you grateful for today? This is always a wonderful reminder that whatever our circumstances there is always something positive in our lives. Sometimes it can be as basic as I am alive. And, when you begin to list all the positive things happening in your life you’ll notice a shift and a tendency to experience more of those positive uplifting things. Breathe. Sit tall, or lay comfortably and bring your attention to your true breath. Play with slowing down your inhale to invite in fresh, creative luminating breath. Play with slowing down your exhale into a deeper and more luxurious release of anything not serving you and your highest good. Do this over and over Go outside. Spend time in nature. Find wonder and wisdom in trees and plants right outside your window. Connect with your 6 senses: What are you feeling in your body, as well as contact points with earth and air? What do you smell? What do you see? What do you taste as fresh air passes your lips? What do you hear, near and far? When you quiet your mind and body, what is your intuition sensing and offering you as a loving message? Move your body! Walk, stretch, dance, yoga, hike, canoe, laugh! Make a new music playlist and find yer groove. Hydrate. Challenge yourself to drink 2-3 litres of water daily. Your brain and body will thank-you! Sleep. Rest as much as you can, and when you need it. Everyone has times of busy mind, restless body, and various experiences of stress which amplify more times than other times. BE KIND & GENTLE with yourself as well as with those around you. These times in particular are unprecedented. And all of the feelings are totally OK. For real. Be easy on you.
