We are very happy to announce that our wash station arrived today. We encourage everyone coming into our store, to stop and wash your hands first. If you are paying at the pump , feel free to come inside to wash your hands before returning to your vehicle. As we have heard from Dr Heather Morrison daily , it is very important to wash your hands. We have listened to this advice and have made it easier for all of you to do this. Stay safe!!
COVID-19 NOTICE The Public Health Office has asked us to change our daily living practices and we at the Cornwall and Souris Quick-STOPs are doing our part in following their advice. We have stepped up our cleaning and disinfecting practices in hopes of keeping our customers and staff as safe as possible. Items like fuel nozzles, grade selection buttons, door handles, ATM, pin pads, counter tops are cleaned frequently but we urge customers to do their part too, like wearing ...gloves while fueling up, using our pay-at-the-pump option. We understand that this is a new world we currently live in and as a responsible corporate and community partner we have to adjust, sometimes on a daily basis. Please see our new operation guidelines and please feel free to contact us with any concerns. OPERATIONS CHANGES AS OF MARCH 24, 2020 Starting Tuesday March 24 our stores will be opening at 7:00am and closing at 9:00pm. CASHLESS transactions please. Contactless transactions available. Customers will be able to scan their own products and pay with credit or debit. Plexiglass is being install at our front counters. Thank you in advance for working with us in our efforts to keep our customers and staff safe and healthy. Owner, Bob Carmichael
*update* So after the recent press release , this is now extended to anyone that has been in another province as well. If you are recently back from travel from outside of canada PLEASE follow Dr Morrison's instructions to self isolate. As Islanders, as a part of this great community, and as a company, that is trying very hard to keep their valuable staff and customers as safe as possible, we are pleading with you travellers to abide by this. If you happen to have zero respect for this situation and choose to enter our store anyways, you will be asked to leave immediately. This is something we will enforce 100% of the time. Thank you to everyone that continue to share our posts to get our announcements out to as many people as possible.... so share this one as well. We are all in this together. Stay safe
We will do our best to keep our valued customers up to date with any changes that may be implemented during these unprecedented times . Although we are still accepting cash payments at this time, debit and credit card transactions are highly advised. We now have our receipt printer positioned in your reach, so you can collect your own receipt. If you have tap available on your card we would suggest using that as well. If you have items that are from within the store and would prefer to scan them yourself, our scanners are positioned in a way that this is now possible. We are now using our 2 registers that are on the opposite side of each other, on our front counter, as to comply with the self distancing for each of you .
We understand that everyone is uncertain these days as to what will stay open and what is closing. We have been advised that gas stations are an essential service. Please don't panic, Heather Morrison in her briefings has stated that grocery stores, pharmacies, and gas stations are considered essential services and will need to stay open. Please stay safe and take extra precautions if you need go to these places. Wearing gloves is strongly advised while pumping fuel. We are sanitizing all public areas but we would advise taking extra precautions when in public places. Please stay safe and only go out when you absolutely need to.
We are not sure how long our supply of toilet tissue will last, but we did receive a late day delivery on Friday from our wholesaler. If you or anyone you know is in need of some we have you covered. This may be a nice option for anyone trying to avoid the line ups in charlottetown. Available in 4 pks only.
We wanted to share with you all some information about the sanitizing that takes place at the Cornwall Quickstop. 364 days a year ( we are closed on Christmas Day) we sanatize our front counter ,Pin pads, coffee area, slush machine and Freal milkshake machine. We use Food Service 2000 for this, as this product was recommended years ago by the Health and Safety department. We do this a couple of times a day, a little more often these days. During the peak flu and cold months,... with this year being no different , we take the sanitizing to a higher level, and several times a day we use disinfecting wipes to clean areas like all the door handles in the store, coolers included, and the Atm machine. At the pumps we disinfect the pin pad , the handle on the fuel nozzle, the fuel grade buttons. Also for those of you that haven't noticed the sink by the coffee machine in our store, this is there for your use as well. You can't go wrong with hot water and soap to give your hands a good cleaning. Stay safe and keep you hands clean at all times. See more
Whoo hooo, Double points weekend. Did you also know that for a limited time you can redeem 10,000 points for $10 gas. We are looking forward to seeing you this weekend.
