To end the day we had a school-wide Kahoot Tournament! We had over 200 people participating in our games! Some people played as teams some as individuals. On Tuesday we will go through the scores an announce our winners and our overall winning class that will be getting a special prize! Winners will be announced Wednesday! Mrs. Carter-Edwards' Grade 11/12 Visual Art Class created original artwork inspired by the Pandemic. The project, called "COVID-19 Mask Art" challenged students to visually represent what about this event has had the most significant impact on them emotionally, physically, or socially. Here are some examples to date of the personal creations which use a variety of media. An Artist Statement was also a required element for this project. In recognition of World Mental Health Day on October 10th, the Canadian Mental Health Association scheduled several activities around the theme Mental Health for All: Greater Investment Greater Access, to address the impact of COVID-19 on our mental health and to ensure no one is denied mental health care. Today's activity was a car parade and a decorating contest. CCVS students created posters and cheered on participants as they drove by the school. School-Wide Kahoot this Friday! Every student with a phone can play! If you don't have a phone you can still participate! Teams can be created within the classroom, but they are not necessary. Students can choose a unique name, but they must include their classroom number for their results to be included in their class results.
