With the on-going COVID -19 crisis, many residents in Ottawa are going through financial hardship and are relying heavily on community agencies for support. The Gifts In-Kind program with its ongoing search for new donors and much needed items such as cleansers, PPEs, hygiene products and personal care to distribute to community agencies serving vulnerable residents, has seen an increase in demand. The program received these needed items so residents in need who are struggling financially right now dedicate their meager resources to food and accommodation while benefitting from the donations. Shoutout to our dedicated staff members and our volunteers! They made 26 activity kits for Seniors every kit included a Valentine’s letter from the youths of Ward 13 in collaboration with our Youth Programming Team!!!!
