On June 1, 2016, Ontario Passed New Waste-Free Ontario Act The province will also be finalizing its draft Strategy for a Waste-Free Ontario: Building the Circular Economy within three months of the legislation coming into effect. The strategy outlines Ontario's vision for a zero waste future and proposed plan to implement the legislation. Please note that this is not the final document, but rather just an outline, which will serve participants of the up...coming international leaders workshop, a subsequent 'living' report, and documentary on transforming our industry. While we will continue to work on clarifying our vision, we want to hear from as many stakeholders and role players as possible. Your 'constructiv'e comments and creative ideas will be considered as we establish the terms of this important education initiative and the Mission 2030 Accord. But first, please be sure to scan through all of the information provided. If you are in full support, then please do let us know. This will help us understand where the support is coming from (design, build, policy... sectors) If you have any concern, please also be sure to let us know: * the specific area of concern * why is it a concern? * how would you address it? * do you want your comment to be public, or kept private for internal purposes only. Your ideas and references to studies, or other groups of interest are of course also welcome. Please note that as time is of the essence, and that the CRI Council is still a voluntary based organization with little funding, we may not be able to respond to your comments. However, they will be considered as we develop the Mission 2030 Accord, and 'Science-in-Architecture' education program, which will both be the focus of the April 2012 Leaders Workshop.
