Critters Creations

I haven't been keeping up with the page, but plan to start! My 2018 resolution is to get more drawings done. I have a few pet ones on the go. The biggest news I have now is that I have been chosen as one of 58 artists worldwide chosen to do a portrait of one of the Las Vegas shooting victims. It is a huge honour to be part of this project.

A happy couple with a portrait drawn from 7 different photos, they are in the middle, surrounded by their 6 children. This was a really hard one to finish, but it was a lovely anniversary present from their kids.

Here's the most recent portrait I've finished... a great present from a dog care company to one of their long time customers who was moving. I love how this one turned out :)

I haven't been maintaining this page, but really need to get back into the swing of things. Since my last post, we have moved to a hobby farm, started producing our own food, started making and selling homemade soap and will start a vegetable CSA this year. It's a busy, but fun time! I have three portraits to do this week and will post scans as I finish them :) Nice to see everyone again!

Wow... it's been forever since I've posted on here. As some of you know, our newest family member, Evelyn Roisin (pronounced Ro-sheen), arrived on June 20th. Shawn and I got engaged last weekend (six years and two kids later, it's about time... lol), and this whole summer has passed in a blur of sleepless nights and diaper changes. Things are settling down now and I'm setting up a separate drawing room to get back to work :)

It's been a while since I've posted... life with a toddler just gets crazy sometimes. I have four portraits I'm currently working on and will post the finished products shortly :)

Thanks for all the lovely comments, it's wonderful to hear so many great comments about my work. I love drawing and really do try to put my heart into everything I've drawn.

Anacobero is my newest portrait, he is a grey who doesn't show up very well in the scan of his portrait. In person the portrait is gorgeous, he is a Paso Fino show horse from Florida.
