It's cold. And brown. But I'm determined to look for the beauty and to make the best of the long fall and winter season. I ran out to Checkerboard Hill to get a view of the South Saskatchewan. The ice is starting to drift in, so it won't be long until my Ferry season is over.... What should I do and see this winter to help pass the time and to boost my usual winter blues?

I just spent 2 days working at Lancer Ferry. I accidently smashed my window out of the van. Oops! It was cold. And snowy.... I ran out of propane. But how can you not smile when your day starts like this. There is no filter on here. It was stunning! I saw beaver, rabbits, and moose, and met the locals on my first shift on that ferry. There was no service in the valley, so I spent 2 days offline! I should do that more often.
