As spring taunts us and we continue to be at home, now is a great time to check a few things around the place. Heres what we suggest: 1. Swap out your furnace filter. Follow instructions for proper insertion. ... 2. Carefully pull the fridge out from the wall and clean behind it. Make sure the back is free from dust. 3. Clean the inside of the stove and microwave. Might as well clean the inside of the fridge while youre at it. 4. Clean the dishwasher and its filter. Remove the lower rack then remove the filter in the bottom. Thoroughly rinse off any debris and build up. Put the filter back in securely. Make sure it clicks into place. A loose filter may cause damage. General instructions: https://www.whirlpool.com//fixing-removing-and-replacing-d Then wash the dishwasher with Affresh tabs. Keep your dishwasher running smoothly by rinsing dishes before putting in the washer. Dont forget: theyre not garburators. 5. Clean drains. Hair is the biggest culprit. 6. Replace lightbulbs. 7. Check your yard. Clean up after your pets and remove any garbage. 8. Do a thorough clean of carpet, tile, vinyl plank. No time like now to get that pesky soap scum off the tile showers.

Some of our staff are immunosuppressed, a serious condition resulting in no immune system. Operations, service, and trades work will continue, but meetings and appointments will be virtual or by phone only. Weve had a fun time doing some cedar shake roofing this past week. The crazy wind added a element of chase the shake, which was fun.

Weve been down in Forestburg getting some work done the last few weeks. Currently, we are apprenticing a new carpenter, so the variety of work this winter has been a fantastic opportunity to learn.

Our new units are coming along. The boys are used to the weather, but it does put a kink in things so theyve moved inside where its warm to drywall and do some interior work until it warms up a touch. Were expecting these to be ready Spring 2020.

Boys have been down in Forestburg putting an addition on the Community Hall. We will take this project through to finish. Its been snowy and muddy, but theyre carrying on. While housing is one of our principle services, we have a long history of commercial and agricultural property development as well.

The boys move quickly! They dug, prepped and poured footings, and prepped and poured the ICF foundation for our new project. This is the photo is part of the preparation phase. As usual, our yellow fence is up around the perimeter. Do not enter as this is an active job site. Only authorized personnel and trades are permitted beyond the fence. Appropriate safety wear is required.
