A bit about me I am a quilt designer, author, teacher and fabric fanatic. Born and raised in Calgary, I now make my home in Drumheller, Alberta with my husband Rob. We have four fantastic kids, and three absolutely perfect grandbabies. My journey into the world of quilting has been inspired over the past twenty years by authors, teachers, designers, and regular folks whose passion and enthusiasm for the art of quilting shows in the remarkable pieces they create. I write and... teach, in part, to share the knowledge and zeal of the quilters who came before me. And that’s why I love to teach I get to share the love of quilting and the techniques that transform sewing into quilting art. Art in all forms is meant to engage us - to make us care. That’s why a good quilt offers both a beautiful design and a concept behind it. It’s an invitation for the quilter to embrace the quilt as a story from his or her own life. I try to design quilts that, I hope, would engage quilters, find similar to their own experience, or make personal to themselves. I looked forward to quilting with you on February 23rd!
