December 18th. We will not be opening this weekend. The Snowmaking Team has been working around the clock, with Mother Nature, to get ready. We are not quite there yet and are going to keep making snow as long as we can so that when we open you will have lots of available terrain for physical distancing. Stay tuned for an update Wednesday!

Today is our 86th Anniversay and our snowmakers have worked so hard to ready the hills. We would love to be celebrating with you on snow, but the fact of the matter is we will have to wait until January 23 for that. This year we will celebrate resilience, knowing that anything COVID has presented will one day be a thing of the past, like so many other hardships in years gone by. We will continue to invest in snowmaking, when the temperatures allow, and maintain the hills so ...that we are ready to serve you on January 23, at the end of the provincial shutdown. Chicopee will be closed to the public until further notice. We would ask for your cooperation in staying off the property. This opportunity allows our teams (and their machines) to be efficient and effective in getting their jobs done.

Chicopee is currently closed for public access but Guest Services will be available by telephone Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (519-894-5610 ext 0) to purchase your 2020-2021 Winter Memberships & Lesson Programs! With the ever-changing landscape we have decided this year to run the Early Bird Sale as a reservation system. We will reserve your selected offerings and automatically process your credit car...d Dec 1. Chicopee will publish its COVID-19 Operational Plan for the Winter Season on Nov 24. If it does not meet your expectations or comfort level you will have the opportunity to cancel your reservation up until Nov 30, without penalty. We have a fluid plan reflecting current changes from Public Health and government agency, and we are waiting to finalize this plan as close to winter as possible. We want to ensure you have as much information about your winter experience before you make your final commitment. We know the Chicopee COVID-19 Policy will mandate the wearing of masks. Masks will be worn by all visitors while on the property or in the facility. Masks must be worn from the parking lot forward, including in lift lines and on lifts. Masks are also recommended while skiing and snowboarding. Chicopee will operate in compliance with Provincial and Regional guidelines and regulations, in all aspects of our operation. Our Chicopee COVID-19 Policy will also outline changes in operations because of a Public Health closure due to COVID-19, available online in our Terms & Conditions. Chicopee Summer Statement - 2020 Chicopee is a place that means a great deal to many. We have a history of providing unique, fun-filled, year-round experiences in a safe and healthy environment. In the summer, we love that so many families rely on Chicopee’s programming for their children at our Adventure Camps; friends get together to play tennis, disc golf and beach volleyball; and members use our fantastic biking and hiking trails.... These are uncertain times. With announcements forthcoming and guidelines still being developed by the Public Health Authorities and Government Agencies which directly affect and restrict our summer operations, we have reached a point where decisions must be made. After examining every possible way forward with the information we currently have, we realize in the current environment, we cannot deliver the premium quality experiences that we are known for. Therefore, we have made the exceedingly difficult decision that Chicopee will be closed for the 2020 Summer Season. As a community not-for-profit organization working hard to provide unique fun-filled experiences through programs, activities, and events at a reasonable cost so all can participate, the fiscal impact of losing summer business will be a hard one but harder still will be missing the smiling faces, the laughter, and the lost memories. Throughout the summer our core staff will continue working and planning for our winter season. We at Chicopee recognize that so many of you are excited to register for our winter memberships, passes and programs. We also realize that many of you are experiencing major life disruptions and commitments may not be possible at this time so we are delaying the start of our Early Bird Sale. Currently, our sale is planned for: October 1-30 - Early Bird Sale November 2 to 30 - Pre-Season Sale We will continue to closely monitor the recommendations from Public Health Authorities and Government Agencies, in order to ensure the safe environment you have come to know and trust. Geordie Paul - CSIA Ski Instructor of the Year Geordie has steadily improved over his many winters with the Chicopee Snow School. He is a CSIA level 2 instructor who can easily adapt to a wide range of lessons. From teaching young children, to instructing park programs, to coaching for us at Blue Mondays, Geordie truly does it all. Well done Geordie!

CHICOPEE is Open for the March Break! We understand that there are concerns regarding the COVID-19 virus but feel confident that skiing and snowboarding at Chicopee is still a safe choice!... Chicopee is doing what we can to ensure the health, safety and well-being of our guests, members and employees, with growing global concerns around COVID-19 (coronavirus). As you may know, there have been an increasing number of cases of COVID-19 in Ontario, with few confirmed cases in Waterloo Region. Waterloo Region has been deemed a low risk area by the Region of Waterloo Public Health organization. Chicopee is always concerned for your health and safety while visiting us. We have implemented additional precautionary measures to ensure every effort is taken to educate and communicate to our team and guests the importance of personal protection. We continue to monitor this situation closely and will provide ongoing updates as needed. Chicopee is closed Friday MARCH 13 for the day. We are preserving the snow and will be open this weekend with full sun and cooler temps!

FUNday - Saturday March 14th. A special day of Fun on the slopes for all Snow School 8-week program particiapnts.... Check-in (including complementary lift pass) will be ONLY available at Guest Services between 9 am, and 11:30 am. Snow Activities will be running from 10 am to 12 pm.
