About Hello, I'm Dolly Dee!... I am inspired by the eras of our past, Vintage. A true love for the 1950s but I have a admiration for all that once was! Dolly Dee's is a subculture & lifestyle brand that brings back those vintage silhouettes. A brand that allows your Eclectic side to show I offer detailed designs with vintage techniques and touches. Body inclusive classy retro looks with a colourful twist. For the mid century modern & pin up dolls & everything in-between. I have a background in hair, makeup, theatre & Fashion! I simply just love to sew. I Have been doing it since I was 12 years old. Dolly Dee's Started in 2013 with making bows out of ribbon, but now it has blossomed into much more. Many years of art school later & I have found my home in being a seamstress. From pattern making to drawing, it truly is so rewarding to see your ideas and thoughts come to life. The process of it all is just as pleasing as the finished product. I am always learning & discovering through this journey, It definitely challenges my mind in the best way! Designing and fashion has so much more to it than you could ever imagine! I hope to bring you all along through the process. Colour! Colour has always been my thing. Bold, Contrast, Opposites, blocking. I always struggled finding colour choices or patterns that stuck out to me & brought me joy. So Don't fret, there will never be any shortage of colour here. I Have always been different, in the way that I am an introverted quiet being & clothing, colour & design among other things has been my way to express without words. I have so much to say but no voice to say it. There is power in silence. Power in the visual world. Thanks to my family business (Dis & Dat) I am able to reuse and recycle by receiving vintage fabrics & notions that would otherwise be thrown away! This is my small part that I am doing to be better by the environment. I am also a knitter & painter & I hope to add those aspects to my shop in the future! Dolly Dee's Is forever telling a story.
