Counting! There are SO many ways that you can practice counting with your littles. The more fun you make it, the more likely they are to remember. ... My daughter consistently skips the number 4 Rather than correct her repeatedly (which isn't fun for anyone) I find ways to practice in her natural environment. Sometimes, that's making towers with 4 blocks in each tower Other times, it is decorating cupcakes with 4 skittles each How are you incorporating learning about numbers and counting in your everyday life?

Happy Sunday! Here in Renfrew County, schools return to in-person learning tomorrow. What are you doing today to make tomorrow morning go smoothly? ... Some ideas you can do today: prep lunches tonight have your kid(s) set out their outfit go for a family walk outside pack those backpacks! go through the schedule for tomorrow with your kids take some deep breaths, because YOU GOT THIS!

Is breakfast time stressful? Take some of the stress out by getting your kids involved. By letting them pour their breakfast into the bowl themselves, you give them a chance to practice their motor skills while also empowering them: "Look! I did it all by myself!" ... What does breakfast time look like in your house? Do you think getting your kid(s) more involved would make the day start off a bit easier? Parenting is really freaking hard... Add in the pandemic and most parents I've talked to (myself included) are struggling.
