If you're a patient of mine, you already know the news. For the rest of you, I've been very busy "taking care of business" & struggling to find the time to tell you that an exciting opportunity has come up - I've changed clinic locations My first week at Elevate Mobility & Wellness ( @elevate.evolve.bowmanville ) in Bowmanville has come & gone. How did it go you may ask? ... With a big warm welcome from the extremely supportive clinic staff, very few bumps in the road, time spent reconnecting with patients (who have been loving the "spa-like" atmosphere), & meeting new people - It has been better than I ever imagined! The past few months have been challenging for me, just as they have been for many of you too. There has been a lot of change & unpredictability in our world lately, which is never comfortable. The "one day at a time" motto & ability to find gratitude in the small wins have been absolutely necessary. I am thankful for my patients who have been extremely understanding - thank you Now that I'm fully set up & comfortably settled at my new spot, I'm excited to see where this new journey takes me - & maybe you too if you decide to join A few things to note: Complimentary 15-Minute Meet-&-Greets are still being offered. With that being said, I have only a few openings for new patients left before the end of the year (aka end of many health benefits too) Options for In-Person (located in Bowmanville ON) & Virtual Care (anyone in Ontario) Convenient online booking from my website www.dremilymclaughlin.com If you have any questions, feel free to reach out! Do those funny looking blue-light blockers actually do anything? Why yes, they do! Blue light directly suppresses melatonin production, and melatonin nat...urally brings on sleep. This graph shows how impactful blue-light blockers can be in allowing melatonin production to continue. Check out https://examine.com/nerd/article/the-ipad-hangover/ to read more about how blue light affects melatonin production. #examinedotcome #bluelight #melatonin

We are all guilty of this! Sometimes I look back at the end of a long day & wonder... "what the heck happened today". It's usually when I haven't checked-in with myself enough, & when I've been going at jet-speed all day Ask yourself these questions EVERY day, & may I suggest even multiple times per day:... Have I drank enough water today? Do I need to take a break? Perhaps use the bathroom, breathe, stand up Are there any areas of tension in my body that I need to release? shoulders, jaw, forehead, etc. How am I moving my body today? How am I getting outside today? What am I grateful for today? Even on the toughest days, there are things to be grateful for, no matter how big or small it may be Save this post & run through the checklist regularly. Did you know that there are apps you can download as a reminder to check-in with yourself? (MindBell for example). I would love to know what strategies you find helpful See more
