GLUTE CIRCUIT . . This 2018 longitudinal stu...dy looked at marathon runners (n=675) who ran for a mean time of 19 years and averaged of 36 miles a week were NOT more likely to have OA when compared to an aged matched control group. Today, the province of New Brunswick has begun phase 2 of its reopening platform which includes the opening of elective surgeries, dental, physio, massage AND CHIROPRACTIC offices!! Quarantine Creativity and Crepitus . . With all of this free time, it has been fantastic to see people staying active on a daily basis. Exercise is amaz...ing for both our physical and mental health. . . Here are a couple great exercises that you can add into your daily exercise routine that focus on multi joint stability and strengthening. All you need is some space and something with a handle and some weight (I find dish/laundry detergent works best). . . SIDE NOTE: YES, that crackling sound is from my knees and NO, it does not hurt. A lot of those creeks and cracks you might hear on a daily basis (crepitus) are often not associated with pain or dysfunction contrary to popular belief. IF you do have constant joint pain along with the weird noises, THEN it may be in your best interest to consult your local physical therapist . .
