With the emergency order and the extension of city wide closures the Dolphins will not return to practice until we receive word from our partners at the pool. Keep an eye on your email for possible virtual opportunities coming soon. Thank you for your patience as we all adjust to the many changes during this pandemic.

First full week back to practice. It feels great to see our kids back in the water. Thanks to all our athletes and families for your willingness to go with the flow and follow the COVID rules to keep us safe and active.

Good morning, I have been catching up on my correspondence today! Everyone that is registered to swim should have received a "feedback" email this morning. If you expected one and did not get it, please send an email to [email protected]. This will help me to update our contact list. THANK YOU.

Dear Swim Manitoba Community, As you may be aware, on Tuesday, November 17th during a Provincial COVID update, Manitoba Premier Brian Pallister said a Winnipeg ...swim team travelled to Kenora for practice. Being previously unaware of this the Executive Director of Swim Manitoba was promptly in contact with the President of Sport Manitoba to clarify the situation. After further investigation, it was found that it was not an entire team but a parent and their two children who had booked swim lanes and travelled to Kenora for open swim independent of their club and Swim Manitoba. This information was communicated to the President of Sport Manitoba and was corrected November 19th by Premier Brian Pallister during a subsequent Provincial update, further stating that While Manitobans are not legally restricted from travelling to northwestern Ontario, it is very unfortunate that this family chose to disregard the advice of [Manitoba’s chief medical officer] Dr. Brent Roussin and our government to ‘stay home’ at this crucial time in our fight against COVID-19, We are working with the swim family to ensure that they understand the risk associated with this action and the impact it has had on our community. These are difficult times, and our swimmers are anxious to get back in the pool, but these are unprecedented times and we need to stay together, supporting the public health orders. We appreciate the cooperation and commitment from the swim clubs, their boards, and their swim families as we navigate through this pandemic.
