It's #NationalEntrepreneursDay so we reached out to one of our Youth Job Connection-Start a Business group participants from last year to see how his business is doing! "For our inaugural year, I am quite pleased with what Thousand Islands Apparel has been able to accomplish, especially due to the COVID-19 outbreak. We had our very successful #BrockvilleStrong campaign where we were able to raise $2,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Leeds Grenville. It would not have been m...ade possible without the support of the 200 local individuals, businesses and organizations that purchased our shirts. We were able to spend a great deal of time out on the St. Lawrence River conversing with locals and the small number of tourists that were able to make a trip to the 1000 Islands once travel restrictions were eased. We managed to recently pass a sales goal of ours as we have generated over $25,000 in sales to date. We have had orders from all over Ontario, New York State, and even a couple as far off as Australia. We have worked with a number of local businesses on the side to create, design and print garments for them during our downtime. We are currently putting the final touches on our sales campaign for the upcoming holiday season. Lastly, we have been in talks with a couple local organizations to be a part of a few giveaways and community initiatives in the new year so stay tuned!"
