As of this past Monday (Jan 18) the government removed the requirement for a referral from a physician/ chiro/ physio for massage therapy so we are back to our normal operations. We know the added step of obtaining a referral was a barrier to accessing treatment for many people. Meet Nikita Peddle, RMT! Nikita is brand new to the Energize crew - in fact, today is her very first day! She was supposed to start with us in December but the temporary suspension of massage therapy caused a delay. Now that massage therapy is allowed (WITHOUT a referral, to boot! ) we are excited to have her join us at our south location! Her schedule is available on online booking, check it out and book your first appointment of 2021. A bit about Nikita: she is a member ...of the MTAA and a graduate of the top notch massage therapy program at Mount Royal University. She brings a wealth of knowledge having worked with people from a wide range of backgrounds and populations (athletes, seniors, construction workers, infants, and prenatal patients, to name a few) in clinics, schools, hospitals, and drop-in centers. Outside of the clinic, Nikita can be found practicing agility and scent detection work with her dogs. She loves road trips, painting, hiking, and anything dog related. Welcome to the Energize team, Nikita!
