We’re all set up at the Curated Markets Calgary Fall Market with some brand new pieces! Make sure you stop by My Bowness TONIGHT up until 9pm or tomorrow Oct 5th 10am-4pm and say hi! We’ve been getting lots of questions about our future plans, which first off leaves us SO grateful we have such amazing supporters, and we thought we’d help clarify a few things. Emerson Industrial will still be around - we’ll be maintaining the website and beginning a new Facebook shop that will... house any current stock, and the occasional new item here and there. We WILL be stepping away from markets and shops for the foreseeable future, as the pressure will be a bit much as we transition into a number of new life changes. We’ll still be lurking around the socials and staying connected with our incredible friends and supporters! We’re never too far away! Stay Industrial, friends!

The countdown is on! The Curated Markets Calgary Fall Market starts TOMORROW at 5pm! We’ll be there for our last official market (for the foreseeable future anyways ) until 9pm then again on Saturday October 5th from 10am to 4pm. Make sure you come out and peruse the 70 amazing vendors on hand! You do not want to miss this market! We’re finishing up a few last minute pieces to bring along, as well as a few more of the incredibly popular Galt No.8 mine pulley pendants. Alright friends... the time has come to share some difficult news. It’s taken some considerable time and thought to get here, but ultimately we think it’s the best decision for us at this point in life. We’ve got a LOT of big life events coming up on our horizon that will draw ALL of our attention, which unfortunately means Emerson Industrial will be taking a hiatus for some time. While we don’t think this is goodbye forever, it’s certainly so long for now... We’ve got one la...st market to wrap up (and a few custom orders for some amazing people), so make sure you come see us one last time at the Curated Markets Calgary Fall Market this weekend! The return of the Galt No. 8 Pulley Pendant! If you’re a bit newer to our feed, you may not have seen this funky design yet! This pendant light features a gorgeous insulator wired to give off 500 lumens of light hanging from a pulley reclaimed from the Galt No. 8 Coal Mine in Lethbridge, AB. A uniquely Alberta piece perfect for any decor. With its 15 foot cord, you can plug it in to any household outlet and adjust the height of the insulator in a snap! P.S: We’ve also got one with a clear insulator coming to the Curated Markets Winter Market TOMORROW at the Bowness Community Association. But you’d better get there when the doors open at 5pm as these never last long!

Here’s something a bit different (aka NOT cameras ) to keep you going until our next Industrial piece is finished up. This Underwood typewriter circa 1940 has been given a touch dimmer to help make it the conversation piece it deserves! Simply touch anywhere on the typewriter to cycle the bulbs through three brightness levels and then off. The ribbon cartridge holders were damaged and were missing pieces, rendering the typewriter essentially useless without significant repai...r and parts that are borderline unobtanium. It was also missing a single rear foot, so we had to craft a couple new ones to keep it balanced. We debuted this at our last market, and everyone who saw it absolutely beamed with excitement when they figured out its hidden secret! We won’t be listing this one on our website, as it’s simply too big and heavy to ship, but it will be at our next market in November! If you simply can’t wait, feel free to fire us a message

This Thanksgiving, we’re unbelievably thankful for the incredible love and support we’ve received from all of you, and our last market was no exception! We had an absolute blast at the Curated Calgary Fall Market this past weekend! The vendors were absolutely incredible, and the organizers so insanely helpful and friendly! We can’t wait to do it again... so I suppose we’re lucky our next market is the Curated Markets Calgary Winter Market on Nov 23 & 24! Stay tuned for details! We debuted this Japanese Acon Model II this past weekend, and it went so fast we didn’t even have time to fully photograph it! It features a rotary switch hidden into the subject selector knob on the camera top. By turning the control knob you bring new life to this unique lamp!

We’re hard at work finishing off a handful of brand new pieces for tomorrow’s Curated Calgary Fall Market!
