Featured Artist: Jean Chapple, art dolls Jean is inspired by many things, from the illustrations in books of Russian or European fairy tales to the people she sees in the street. The characters of her little people often seem to develop as she works, with each face telling its own story. Jean begins with wire and polymer clay, sculpting and then painting face, hands and feet. She then fashions a body and finally a costume, that may be constructed of new or reclaimed fabrics. Found objects help to complete the picture.
