It is a pleasure to be working with proactive local councils to conduct the research and data collection required to make informed decisions about pollution control. Collaboration is key to getting best practice implemented. The research being conducted with NorthTec, Northland Regional Council and numerous District Councils using our technologies will provide robust information for better decision-making, with inputs such as litter control, plastics capture, maintenance and ...well designed and engineered technologies. All of these factors provide high quality outcomes for the environment and for public/private infrastructure. We look forward to seeing the litter the LittaTraps prevented from reaching the waterways.

Fair Go ran a story last night about the millions of nurdles on our beaches and the devastating effects on marine life. At ENVIROPOD, we work with plastic manufacturers to stop nurdles from reaching the beaches via the stormwater drains. Four years ago we installed a single LIttaTrap in a plastic manufacturers carpark. This single catch basin filter stopped 220,000 nurdles from reaching the local waterways.... MAYOR: The Town of Cobourg is proud to join the Great Lakes Plastic Cleanup initiative in partnership with Pollution Probe who use innovative technologies, Seab...in Project and Enviropod LittaTraps, offering an immediate solution to plastic litter in our waterways by capturing and cleaning it up. The Town of Cobourg has the following installations: One (1) Seabin in the Cobourg Harbour, near the fuel dock which is cleaned out and monitored by marina staff and the contents will be sent to the University of Toronto for laboratory analysis. The Seabin will be removed during the winter months to prevent any damage. Residents will be able to view the analysis results online once the project officially launches in Spring 2021. Three (3) LittaTraps placed in catch basins at King Street, Harbour parking lot and Marina parking lot to collect plastic waste from our streets before it enters our waterways. Enviropod is very excited to announce its partnership with the Great Lakes Plastic Cleanup! Both LittaTrap and Seabin technology will be used across Ontario based marinas to remove plastic from our waterways. The cleanup will be done in collaboration with the University of Toronto trash team, which will lead to plenty of research, outreach and education on plastic pollution.
