Message from Mohinder Bajwa, Health Director We have 16 positive cases. We are very concerned about this second wave. Please follow the Public Health Protocols and advise of Health Officials. Public Health Orders are legal documents enforceable by police.... We have put in extra necessary and justifiable measures such as curfew and bridge security to protect the security and safety of the community. These measures are the result of MOH and Health Director concerns. These are put in place by the Health Director after consultation with the Health Team. Please note your Chief and Council see these as temporary measures by The Health Director to bring the infection under control. Chief and Council value your freedom. Please do not blame them for these measures. Chief and Council are also subject to Public Health Orders. For now these measures are in place until December 15 , 2020. They may be extended or rescinded depending on Infection rate. We need your help as community to follow protocols, social distancing, washing hands and isolating when advised. We must act together as a community keep everyone safe. Eden Valley has overcome many challenges before and we will prevail again. Due to the high increase in positive cases (16- in Eden Valley) we will be going into lockdown implementing perimeter security, curfew at 10pm, and only essential travel in and out of the community for food health appointments,etc until we are able to get control of the sickness.
