Meet Frankie! Frankie’s sweet and nurturing side is perfectly rounded out by her daring and witty side. Frankie is about to turn 5 and we are planning her party! . I am not sure about you, but I am always equal parts excited and frustrated with kids birthday parties. . So often there are so many wasteful, single use plastic items ... from balloons, cups and plates to trinkets in loot bags that got lost or broken before you arrive at your front door. ... . Over the years we have simply stopped contributing to environmental harm in this way and instead we try to create a memorable experience for our kids parties, and we always invite the whole family! . This year we are having boat races in the creek that runs behind our house! We are going to spend an hour making boats (from recycled, reusable and recyclable materials) and then we are going to spend an hour racing them! Followed by cake and high fives of course! .
