Lets send warm wishes to Shannon Fowler for her last day at Family Kitchen tomorrow, Saturday. Shannon has been a part of our team for 6 years, and is furthering her education by attending university in Toronto. Now on a personal level... During this time Ive had the privilege to watch Shannon grow into a beautiful, smart, young woman. Not only as an employee, but a true friend. Over my years at the restaurant, it has taught me that family isnt always blood. It is tho...se that choose to be there for you. And Shannon is one that has shown me exactly this time after time again. She is my best friend, my sister from another mister, shes like another daughter to me. She has been there for my kids, been that mentor, a role model for them to look up to, that middle ground between a mother and her teenager daughter!!! Shes an old soul.... From the first shift with me as a your boss, and having to have the dress code talk! To co-op placement in high school, spending 7 days a week together, or watching you stress out cause you only got a 98% on an exam. Our crazy adventures and shopping trips! Nothing beats the fun we had on our Friday & Saturday nights at the restaurant when we were open for dinner!!! Early morning rides to college, robbing each others wardrobes. All my crazy ideas, even on Christmas Day, youve always been there for me and had my back. Never once calling in sick, hungover or not. Anyone that has got to know Shannon knows she is something special. This isnt a goodbye, just a send off, spread your wings and soar. Anywhere you go, anything you choose to do, you will succeed!! Id like to thank everyone for the on-going support over these past 5 months. With light of moving into stage 3, this allows for indoor dining. With social distancing between the tables we have very limited seating for indoors, reservations are suggested. The patio will remain open and will have the majority of the seating.
