As we finish up our last day in the office today, before our teams take a well deserved break for the holidays, we need to say a few thank yous... THANK YOU to our patients for your patience in adhering to the changing protocols and procedures as we navigate Covid-19. THANK YOU to our WONDERFUL TEAMS at each office, from the Patient Coordinators who welcome you when you walk in the door and keep our schedules organized, to the Certified Dental Assistants who keep the work ...rooms organized and assist the Dentists, to the Registered Dental Hygienists who keep those smiles sparkling, to the Dentists who find solutions when you’re in discomfort, to the Practice Managers who work tirelessly in the background to keep things running smoothly and everyone else in between! We wish you all a safe and healthy holiday season

It’s so important for kids to develop good dental hygiene habits at a young age, so on behalf of FDC, Downtown Practice Manager, Parveen, donated a supply of toothbrushes and toothpastes for all K/Grade 1 students at Ron Brent Elementary.

Just a few tips to help navigate those Halloween treats : 1) Give your kids more chocolate and less gummy candies! The gummy, sticky candies are hard to remove from teeth, but chocolate will melt off making it easier to keep teeth clean. 2) When giving candy, keep it to mealtimes. The extra saliva produced when we eat can help wash away the sugars. If we snack on candy throughout the day, the teeth never get a break.... 3) Lots and lots of water. Not only will this help cleanse your mouth, water can also help your kids feel more full. 4) Help your kids with brushing and flossing after a big day of sugars.

Introducing Michelle, Patient Coordinator at Family Dental Care College Heights. Michelle was born in Port Alberni and raised in PG. She is a single mom to an 8 year old son and looking to add a special pet to their family soon! Michelle completed the Dental Reception program at CNC. Her hobbies include baking and cooking for family and friends and going on scooter rides with her son. Michelle loves seeing happy patients who are excited to return to the office and hearing patients’ stories about what’s going on in their lives. We are so thankful to have Michelle’s welcoming smile, bright personality and positive attitude at FDC

Introducing Elainea, Certified Dental Assistant (CDA), at Family Dental Care Downtown. Elainea was born in Abbotsford and raised in PG, along with her brother and sister. She was home schooled until Grade 12 and then completed the CDA program at CNC. Elainea has 2 horses and 2 cats . When she’s not at work, Elainea enjoys horseback riding, kayaking, hiking and playing piano . Elainea feels fortunate that she is able to use her skills and training to help those in need, both in PG and in other parts of the world. Elainea is always willing to jump in wherever needed to assist her colleagues and patients and she is one of the kindest people you’ll ever meet. We are so grateful that she is part of the FDC Team

Introducing Karin, Lead Patient Coordinator at Family Dental Care River Point. Karin was born and raised in PG and her parents, in laws and sister all still live here. She and her husband have a busy household, with a 5 year old son, a cat and a dog . Karin has a Certificate in Business Admin and completed the Dental Admin course at CNC. In her spare time, Karin enjoys gardening and puttering around the yard. She also keeps busy with her son, who has Cerebral Palsy and is quadriplegic. They enjoy going for long walks and playing on the lawn with the pets and the hose. Karin loves coming to work and considers the River Point FDC team her second family Karin has so much patience and is an excellent trainer. We are so lucky to have her on the FDC team

Introducing Preet, Registered Dental Hygienist at Family Dental Care River Point. Preet was born and raised in PG and completed the Dental Hygiene Program at CNC. She has worked at River Point FDC ever since! When she’s not at work, Preet enjoys spending time with her family. She has matching tattoos with her sisters and her mom! In the past year, her family has grown to include 2 cute little nephews, who she adores Preet stays active by hiking and going to the gym. She is also a huge Disney fan and collects Disney mugs One of Preet’s fondest work memories was when one of her little patients asked if she was the tooth fairy Preet has a tremendous work ethic and is always willing to help her colleagues in any way possible. We are so fortunate she is part of the FDC Team
