Did you know plastic parts can be used as alternative to rebar in concrete? These plastic injection moulds were milled entirely with CNC mills. Due to plastic shrinkage, precise calculations factoring for shrinkage were needed before milling began. Cooling water passages required deep drilling, adding extra layer of challenge to the project.... Also, because of the very precise tolerances, the mould is comprised of smaller individual pieces.
