Join us online as Rev. Mike continues his series "The Parables of Jesus," this Sunday, May 2, with the message "Who is #1?" based on the parable of the Rich Fool. Mike's video message will be posted on Sunday morning here on FPC's Facebook page, and on our church website at: www.firstchatham.org
Thank you to all our volunteers who served at our take-out breakfast this morning. We served 130 guests today. We could not do this ministry without the caring support of our volunteers. Thank you everyone!
Our Zoom Bible study group meets on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. If you'd like to join us, please contact the church office at [email protected] so that we can add you to our email list. We'd love to welcome you into this friendly group!
Some of the members of the choir got together by Zoom this evening. It was so much fun to spend time in conversation and laughter. We sure miss the pre-Covid days, and look forward to the day we can sing in church again.
And whatever you did for the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.
This is Mike's upcoming message series starting this Sunday, November 29: Light of the World: (An Advent Series) Light is a powerful symbol. The light of the Sun gives life to the earth. Light, whether natural or artificial, allows us to see the world around us. Light lights up our path and shows us the way forward. It is any wonder that Jesus referred himself as the Light of the World? He is truly the way, the truth and the life for all who believe in him. Join u...s as we learn what it means to have the light of Christ shining brightly in our lives, as we navigate this year’s uncharted territory. Due to fear of contracting COVID-19, people in Malawi who are already vulnerable because of the effects of HIV and AIDS have increased concerns about accessing ...medication and community support. The Presbyterian World Service & Development-supported Ekwendeni Hospital AIDS Program (EHAP) has been supporting those whose lives are impacted by HIV and AIDS for decades. Acknowledging these increased concerns, EHAP continues to provide community health support through physically distanced workshops to helps families learn how to cook nutritiously with limited ingredients. #presbyterian #Malawai #dailyprayers #prayforthem
Today is #InternationalDayforDisasterReduction. PWS&D continues to provide livelihood support to families to equip them with the skills and knowledge they need to improve their incomes and well-being, ensuring families are better able to cope when disasters strike.

Today marks the 54th anniversary of the tragic death of Chanie Wenjack, an Anishinaabe boy, who at the tender age of 12, ran away from the PCC-run Cecilia Jeffr...ey Residential School to return home, only to be found dead by hunger and exposure to harsh weather. It is said that the story of Chanie along with the painful legacy of residential schools is being taught in at least 40,000 classrooms across the country.
