A quick update following yesterday's Government of Alberta announcements regarding new COVID-19 restrictions. In short, youth programs will continue but adult programs and open gym are temporarily suspended. Stay safe, Ninja Fam!

Who else can’t wait to get back in the gym? Winter 2021 registrations for our Training Team and Homeschool programs are open to Fall 2020 participants now, and will be open to those on the waitlist beginning tomorrow, Jan. 14 2021!

Working hard or... working even harder? The gym is still closed but we'll keep working hard if you do (and if you're hardly working, well, we all deserve rest days ). Hopefully we'll all be able to return to doing Ninja safely together soon. Stay safe, Ninja Fam #NinjaMindset

Our most recent pivot - the final pivot of 2020. Dreamed up after one of our school customers booked to visit our facility in early December had to cancel due to the new lockdown, we got to planning immediately. We figured out what we would need to do to bring an obstacle course to them. We had to make sure that our plan was efficient and that the equipment we’d bring made sense for 60-90 minutes of use. With a 10+ obstacle course that is made up of walls, balance beams, carg...o nets, spear throws and more, we set out to bring the fun of Ninja and obstacle course racing to 5 different classes in the last week of December before the holidays. And of course, we’ll be back at it again next week because it was such a blast! 2020 taught us a lot of things - and two of those lessons that we’ve really taken to heart are that there is opportunity in any adversity and that by finding those opportunities, we can come out of any obstacle even stronger. #tbt to when we could safely host competitions. Typically, our ninja competitions are a packed house. All of the athletes and fans are in the building at the same time and if we’re being honest, the typical ninja competition consists of a lot of waiting around for your time to run. For the inaugural Fitset Ninja Cup that we hosted Sept 4th-6th, 2020, however, covid restrictions actually solved some of these challenges. There was an overwhelming response that this new format... was even more enjoyable! For athletes, there was much less waiting around and for fans, we were able to provide a much better viewing experience and reach way more of an audience by livestreaming the entire event. After all the positive feedback, we plan to continue developing and improving this new format for future events - and stay tuned as we are rescheduling our Winter Classic competition for early 2021! It’s important to acknowledge those feelings and give them room to breathe; but it’s equally important to step back, take a breath for yourself, and determine how you can best address the things that are in your control. We can’t change everything in the world that causes us stress, but we can try to work through the things that are in our control - what are some things in your control that you’d like to work on? #NinjaMindset
