They had planned to marry and celebrate at the Delta Hotel in Downtown Victoria and had their heart set on capturing the skyline of Victoria with the Empress in the background and their original guest list was for over 130 people, plus children, with a tented ceremony and reception (including a setup flip during portraits/cocktails) and a full list of vendors. Just one month before their original wedding date, a new date was set, for a month away. Not only had the date changed, but the location, and the city! The guest count decreased from 130 guests to just 42 guests, socially distanced. All the vendors traveled from Victoria to Nanaimo on July 25 and had to coordinate with a completely new location, including designing a unique bar/cocktail area while the backyard underwent a flip from ceremony to reception.
