(Le français suit) Help us spread Holiday Cheer to New Brunswick Nursing Homes The last several months have been extremely difficult for nursing home residents,... families, and staff due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Homes have done amazing work to create options for residents, families and friends to stay connected while visitation has been closed or very limited, as required by public health directives. Nonetheless, the separation has been difficult for everyone. As homes look to the Holiday season, it is clear that celebrations will look different, with the potential for visitation to be completely closed for homes in provincial zones under the orange phase, or remaining very limited in others. In spite of everyone’s efforts to remain connected, circumstances require that we remain physically separated as much as possible, and important that none of us feel alone and are supported during this time; especially residents and staff who have been deeply impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The NBANH wants to let residents and staff know that they are supported by sharing messages of Cheer from the public. We are asking members of the public to send the NBANH cards, drawings, email messages, or even videos with a note of cheer! We will assemble all the messages into a special video for all residents and staff to enjoy around the province. Here is how we can be reached: By Mail: 1133 Regent Street, Suite 206, Fredericton, NB, E3B 3Z2 By email: [email protected] Facebook: NB Association of Nursing Homes / Association des foyers de soins du N.-B. If you have questions, please call 460-6262. We will be accepting notes of cheer until December 14th.
