Lion Hummer Barlett's daughter posted the following on Facebook regarding Hummer's upcoming 90th birthday: Hummer will be 90 years old on February 5 and we are so sad not to be throwing a big party...he does like a party! And, while he would much rather be sharing a drink and a chat in person, a note or card would be so appreciated by him. So let's fill Humphrey George Bartlett's mailbox with love and birthday greetings! His address is Box 87, Fort Qu'Appelle, S0G1S0.... We sure hope (and plan) to gather as soon as we can to celebrate this remarkable man in person. Thanks and stay well!

What a success this evening was. Special thanks to Dennis Regel for providing the music, the RCMP and the Fire Department for adding lights and sirens. Thanks to the numerous Lions who decorated their vehicles with lights and trees and you name it. Thanks to the amazing people from the Fort who joined the Sparkle Tour, there had to be at least 40 vehicles. And most of all special thanks to Lion Lynne Simmons for organizing a tremendous evening. Lions once again you did yourselves proud. Sorry I have no pictures, I was having to much fun. If any body has pictures or videos please share.

Well the cat is out of the bag. The Fort Qu'Appelle and District Lions Club will be leading a sparkle tour parade of Fort Qu'Appelle on Wednesday, December 23rd. All who wish to participate in the parade meet at the Rec Centre, the tour will be leaving at 6:30 sharp. Can we please get all residents of the Fort to turn on your Christmas lights so that we can make this an evening to remember. Also if you are going to participate in the parade, please decorate your vehicle. Santa will be attending!!!

I have some fantastic news Fort Qu'Appelle. A special elf just told me that there will be something special happening in town on the night of Wednesday, December 23rd. Stay tuned.
