Finally, a baby sister to love. And she is definitely so loved.

Grandma's Buttons. My grandma always had a stash of old buttons sitting in a big glass jar in her sewing room. One of my favourite things to do when we would visit would be to sort and search through those old unique buttons. Most of them were stray buttons off of old clothing, some in sets, patiently strung together, but most were one or two of a kind.... I loved looking through her collection, asking where each button was from. Often Grandma would share which jacket or shirt the buttons were from. I loved picturing them on those old pieces of clothing. Each had a story as unique as the buttons that had once graced their fronts, or cuffs. This little series is one I've been wanting to do for a while. These little girls love to dump and rummage through the old buttons as much as I did, and we sure had fun finding all sorts of treasures. They're now my mom's collection of buttons, and I hope the girls treasure their memories as much as I do.

I get to work with the sweetest little souls. Just look at that perfect face. <3 And I had to do some without a bonnet. I don't think bald babies get enough love!

If you could go back and relive a time when your babies were little, what would you choose to do? I think I would go back to all of the middle of the night wakings. Back when it was just me and one of my babies, in the quiet, in the dark. Snuggling in my comfortable chair under a blanket. Listening to their soft relaxed breathing, bellies full. Life was exhausting, but life was so simple and good. I'll always be sad there are no more babies in our home, however I am so completely thankful for the baby snuggles I can sneak in when I'm creating your most cherished memories.

So, together we are taking the matter into our own hands. She's a very chatty student, but we are having a great time! There's no buddy like a brother! Sawyer and Knox are 14 months apart... And let me tell ya, big brother rocked his role on picture day better than some 5 year old siblings I've worked with!! Such a little superstar! Sawyer slept through most of the hard work, just the way we like it!
