"The Chinese Empire Reform Association of Victoria not only provided Lee and other leaders for the reformist activities in the global Chinese diaspora but also continued its engagement in political movements in China. In 1910, it led other Canadian chapters in a petition to the imperial government in China for the early convening of a parliament. The rejection of the petition by the conservative faction was a trigger of the 1911 Revolution that ended imperial China." http://www.timescolonist.com/Victoria+politica//story.html
