Amazing work being done! Let's get registered with Toronto Miracle and get food to our neighbours who need it.

This is bigger than tenant organizing. This is a horrific failure in policy and leadership. Landlords, stop complaining about your "crappy" tenants and show up for your fellow humans. Politicians, stop pandering to exploiters and hold them criminally responsible. Bureaucrats, stop enabling this. Find ways to block it or walk off the job. This should rock you to your core. We believe that in the absence of suitable shelter or housing, every person has the right to a safe, warm and consistent place to sleep. A place where they can safely store their possessions and maintain connections to their community, where they have vital support networks and services. Please sign and share. There is a handy template to send a message to the mayor as well.

Today is the National Housing Day of Action! We need immediate and drastic action to combat the housing crisis. This city must stop prioritizing the profits of developers over the lives of our neighbours. Today we are asking our members and neighbours to joins us in calling on John Tory and Mike Layton to support our neighbours in encampments, and stop tearing down tents, until they are provided with safe and adequate housing. The glass cages at the Better Living Centre do no...t provide safety or dignity. Destroying the few belongings people have to survive through the winter is a horrific response and this city should be ashamed. We must do better. Make a donation to the Encampment Support Network! https://www.patreon.com/esntoronto Call or email Mayor John Tory: 416-397-CITY (2489) [email protected] Call or email Mike Layton: 416-392-4009 [email protected] #nationalhousingdayofaction #endhomelessness #citiesforpeoplenotprofit #encampmentsupport #homesforpeoplenotprofit
