Frog Pond farms will be open this Sunday at 708 county rd 4 at 10:30 am until 3 pm. We still have plenty of veggies. Unfortunately due to increasing covid 19 activity, we have decided our mini market should not continue. We cannot risk the fine. It was fun, but we don't want to break the rules. Still, we all have to make our incomes in an increasingly difficult world. The Island butter tart Lady has to as well. I am sharing her post about where she will be on Sunday. Hope peo...ple will still come out and bring their masks. Be Safe Linda & Michel Happy Saturday Everyone! I will be selling butter tarts, handmade socks n crotchet bowls at a new location tomorrow from 9 - 3. Come see me at 394 Main Street in Bath, right beside the Post office. Hope to see you there.

Happily enjoying the morning sunshine in the greenhouse on the jalapeño plant. Glad they don't eat them.
Sorry folks, rain day today! We will set up Monday in our driveway at 708 county rd 4. Left at the end of McIntyre, 1st driveway on the left. 613-331-3607. The road is now all paved from hwy 33 past the traffic circle on hwy 2, including the overpass at the train tracks! Yay! If anyone is canning tomatoes, or making tomato based preserves we have plenty. That is what I'm doing today! Enjoy your Sunday!
Look who we found sleeping under a tomato leaf. He or she is the size of my thumbnail
Now we are coming upon eggplant and tomato season. Two of my favourite foods! I have found over the market years, that people either love eggplant, hate it, or don't really know what to do with it. One lady bought one from my market table one afternoon, because she liked the colour and shape of it. With many varieties to choose from, they make a healthy main course dish, appetizer, or if you prefer, a side dish. Good in soups, chilli, stews, stuffed, and on the barbeque! The...Continue reading
Think we have it all figured out (famous last words) Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday we are open 10 to 6. Tuesday you can call me at 613-331-3607 , if you want something (I make meals too, and I know what it's like when you just need a cucumber or a zucchini) I will try to set up with the honor payment system because we (the two of us since the dog won't help) are picking for delivery to the West market store at Reddendale mall in Kingston on Wed morning. Or drive in to the end of the road where the garden is, and honk. We will hear you! Wednesday I take veggies to the market store, and never know how long I will be because that is the day I also run errands. As soon as I figure out how to clone myself and teach Rocky how to pick rather than simply eat, life will run smoothly
Experience comes with trial and error. After experimenting with days and times, we have decided that our farm stand on 708 county rd 4 will open up at 10 am until 3pm on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday( until Bath market is open). Fresh garlic and eggplants are now available. We will try to have all veggies available. A little rain would certainly help with growth. I cannot do anything about the construction, but getting here is easy from McIntyre. Just turn left on hwy 4, as and Frog Pond is the 1st driveway on the left.( with the green market tent and sign on the roadside) Thanks for your patience while we organize ourselves to sell from home.

7am photos. Tomatoes, beets, herbs, beans, pumpkins and fall squash, cucumbers, melons, and zucchini flowers with our wonderful bee pollinators and tachinid fly protectors! Lacewings arrived two days ago thankfully. Just in time to help with the aphids. It is a really bad bug year and we are thankful for the beneficial insects.
Cucumbers! Lots of them...
