Radishes take the spotlight today! They're easy to grow, can be planted multiple times in spring and fall, and don't take too long to grow. Plant them in a sunny spot 4-6 weeks before the last frost date. Thin them out, and keep the soil moist. Most radish varieties are ready to harvest after 3 weeks. As we continue highlighting the abundance of our garden, it seemed fitting to showcase pears, since this was the main ingredient in the chutney we made at Thursday's workshop! Plant pear trees in a sunny area in late winter or early spring. Dig a hole that is a few inches deeper and wider than the roots. Water well, and prune as needed. Harvest pears when they are fully grown and still firm. More info at https://www.almanac.com/plant/pears
