NEW TEACHING ARTIST ANNOUNCEMENT! We are happy to welcome violinist Jacquelyn Redmond to our Giocoso TA Team! Jacquelyn Redmond is a violinist hailing from Portugal Cove St. Philip’s, NL. She received her Bachelor of Music from Memorial University in Violin and Composition in 2018 under the guidance and instruction of Dr. Nancy Dahn and Dr. Andrew Staniland. Jacquelyn is currently pursuing a Master of Music in Violin Performance and Pedagogy at Memorial University. ... Throughout her years of playing, Jacquelyn has always enjoyed being a part of an ensemble. Starting in her Suzuki days, she was a member of the S.T.E.P. Fiddlers, and has since performed as a solo traditional musician as well as with Calos Youth Orchestra, Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Toronto and the Watershed Ensemble. As a teacher, Jacquelyn strives to create a safe and welcoming environment to help foster each child’s love of their instrument. Through her previous studios at The Music Corner, The Music Studio and currently her private studio, In Harmony, she has helped many children find their passion for music whether it be with the violin or another instrument. Outside of her violining, Jacquelyn writes fiction, reads a lot of fantasy fiction and has recently discovered a love of gardening.
