Gitanmaax Helping Hands

What a successful community barbecue. The Helping Hands barbecued and served in both sunshine and pouring rain. They handed out burgers, hot dogs, chips and drinks. Thank you to Theresa Stevens, Bob Burns and Joe Lattie for the guidance, assistance and non-stop energy. This wouldn't have been the success it was without you. Thank you to all of our community members who came out!

Our Helping Hands got to spend the day with Theresa doing some rock painting.

Our Helping Hands built from scratch a cedar picnic table for the Gitanmaax Band Office. Mark was a wonderful leader and let each of them take part in the building process.

Yesterday the Gitanmaax Helping Hands worked alongside the Ksan Campground maintenance crew with painting sign posts and even helping Mae with her garden. It is very exciting to have a great group of hard working youth again this year!
