One of Good Neighbours members talks about the positive impact our centre has had in his life.
Hello from Good Neighbours, We regret to inform you that Good Neighbours will be closed as of Monday, November 2. The situation with COVID 19 has been deemed 'critical' in Winnipeg. The Province of Manitoba is strongly encouraging people to stay home. Given the age group we provide programs and services to is a COVID vulnerable group, we thought it best to close our doors. ... Our hope is that we will be able to open in two weeks when the Province re-evaluates the COVID situation in Winnipeg. We will continue to communicate with you as information becomes available. Until then, stay safe and know we'll be missing everyone at the centre!
Today Good Neighbours held a rally at City Hall as part of our fight to ensure the City of Winnipeg honours their promise of a partnership agreement with us. We got excellent news coverage - CBC, CTV, Global TV, the Winnipeg Free Press and the Winnipeg Sun all came down to cover the event. A big thank you to the seniors that participated! We truly appreciate your support.
Have you checked out the November/December newsletter yet? The newsletter is available online at http://www.gnalc.ca/images/pdf/newsletter.pdf
Important Notice: Masks will be Mandatory in the Centre effective Monday, September 28. Masks do not need to be worn while participating in exercise classes, but will have to be worn when entering and exiting the class, and in all public areas within the Centre.
