Grandmother Birch Water Garden is a land-based art installation that I have been working on for the past 2 years. The project is a re-storying of the damage left on our land, in the wake of clearcutting about 25 years ago. Now, instead of the spring runoff continuing the sad story of erosion, deepening the ruts left by the heavy logging equipment that gouged the land; the designed water courses serpentine down the hill, gently distributing water and making joyful music along the way!
