We are pleased to share that Grimsby Basketball Association has been selected by @CT Jumpstart to receive a grant from their Sport Relief Fund. The fund helps community sport organizations like ours continue to provide access to sport and play for Canadian kids. This grant will go a long way towards helping us offset gym rentals, purchase new equipment, and assist those who may require their fees to be covered. During these difficult times we are extremely happy to be able to... offer some programming to our children in our club. GBA RETURN TO PLAY - CoVID 19 UPDATE As everyone is excited that we have moved into Phase 2 of Re-opening in the Province of Ontario, the GBA is pleased to provide you the insight we have received from Basketball Canada and Ontario Basketball. Although the Guidelines approve of small groups for training purposes only, the GBA is currently still not able to accommodate the Return to Play Guidelines. This is not because we do not want to return, we do. We are very anxious to b...egin the journey back. However, our access to facilities is based on permits that are governed by the School Boards and Towns. Currently, neither are offering access to permit requests, until they have a better idea of what their own plan will be moving forward. Until such time that we are able to obtain permits from these sources, our operations remain suspended. We will update our membership as more information becomes available and as the situation warrants. Thank you for your patience and understanding. U9 HOUSELEAGUE SAT MARCH 14TH @ CENTRAL SCHOOL - CANCELLED - AS ARESULT OF THE DSBN SUSPENDING ALL PERMITS FOR THEIR GYMS EFFECTIVE MARCH 14TH - APRIL 6TH THE GBA IS FORCED TO CANCEL THIS WEEKENDS FINAL WEEKEND OF HOUSELEAGUE PROGRAMS FOR THE U9 AGE GROUPS PICTURES AND MEDALS THAT WERE TO BE HANDED OUT WILL BE HANDED OUT TO PARENTS AT A FUTURE DATE WITH EMAILS GOING OUT FOR THAT WE APPRECIATE YOUR UNDERSTANDING AND PATIENCE.
