Recent media stories have focused on the best materials used to make face masks. I am proud to say that the masks I make (pleated style with 2 layers of tightly knit cotton fabric of any thread count when combined with a filter) ranked at the top of the list for best protection. The articles and stories have led customers to ask about the thread count of the material I use in my masks. I honestly do not know the thread count for most of the masks I sell as quilting cotton ...manufacturers do not publish this on their website or on their products. I do have 2 patterns made of sheet material (Blue Trellis and Grey Stripes) that are 400 thread count. For anyone looking for higher thread count material, I have just launched a 600 Thread Count listing with a couple of fabric choices.
