We had some research done on our house by the local Architectural Conservancy of Ontario and was given this plaque last week. Thomas J Sayers, a 28 year old farmer, built the house in 1888/89 with his wife Sarah. They had 5 children together. Thomas died in 1931, still living here and Sarah continued on until 1936. After that Frank and Lena Yates bought it and lived here for 50 years. Don Hagerdoorn was the next owner for 30 years, Lisa Patrick for 10 and then us. Only 5 owners in 130 years! A lot of history and stories.
