Yes, Wow! This seminar was life enhancing!! The horses are amazing teachers, enhancing my myofascial release skills and sensitivity as well as my therapeutic intuition. I am looking forward to incorporating these awarenesses and skills into your treatment sessions!!!
It was an honour and a joy assisting Erik Dalton in Oklahoma last weekend at Freedomdom From Pain’s Myoskeletal Alignment Seminar. I am grateful to be included in this amazing group of therapists and instructors.

Fascial theory has finally reached its tipping point and is becoming part of the generally accepted body of human physiology knowledge.
As a therapist the Fascia is and has been the focus of my therapy for my almost 30 years of practice. The interstitium , otherwise known as Fascia, is finally proven by scientists. My mentors have been teaching fascial release for over 40 years. The science of what we as body workers have known for decades is finally catching up!

Headbands on Babies - What does does this do to their systems? Read here to learn more..... I am sitting in the coffee shop today and I am drawn to an adorable... baby, probably around 5-6 months old wearing a headband. We both lock eyes and she smiles. As I walk by her, she lets out a little squeal which I felt was her trying to get my attention. You know how some people are animal whisperers? Well, I'm a baby whisperer;) Call me crazy but I can hear her nonverbal message to me, she is saying, "Please tell my Dad to take this darn headband off my head!! It doesn't feel good!" Of course I did not do this, but it inspired me to write this post to create awareness about this topic. How many adults do you see with headbands on? I know I'm not fond of them, yet we put them on our babies and think it is OK. As a physical therapist and CranioSacral/Myofascial release specialist, I feel it is my duty to speak for these babies and educate parents. As parents, we all want what is best for our kids. There is a growing culture of parents who are interested in alternative medicine and natural ways to raise their children. We've come a long way, even from 10 years ago when I had my kids. However, these caring and many times highly educated parents are among the ones putting headbands on their baby girls. Think of a balloon that is able to expand and contract- that is the cranium/head of an infant. These headbands, even if seemingly loose fitting, put a lot of pressure on the natural expansion of the cranial bones. This restricts the pumping motion that moves the cerebrospinal fluid which nourishes the baby's nervous system and supports the growth process. SO....if you are a Mom, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt, Uncle or just want to spread the word, please do so...the babies of the world will appreciate it!
