Happy Holidays to all our valued customers and friends!! This year has seen some unprecedented times and big adjustments for everyone. As always, your continued support as we transitioned to our new location in the Farmers Market has been amazing. We are pleased to have been able to raise $502 in our basket fundraiser towards Moving Mountains for Mighty Max, thanks again to everyone who helped by purchasing one of the remaining Christmas baskets. Our fundraiser is now over - we have raised just over $500 on behalf of Moving Mountains for Might Max! Thank you everyone that participated by purchasing the last of our Christmas baskets; as always your continued support is amazing!! I will update tomorrow with final total.... We have decided to offer them for sale online and the proceeds will be going to help a local boy in desperate need of our support!! Baskets to be picked up Monday-Wednesday 9AM-4:30PM (within GP, address will be provided) Moving Mountains For Mighty Max!... Max has a diagnosis of Type 2 Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). SMA is a rare neuromuscular disease which leads to a progressive loss of muscle strength that affects the ability to walk, swallow and breathe. One in 10 000 children are born with the disease. In Type 2 SMA, children can sit but cannot walk on their own. Max’s best chance at being able to walk and live a long and healthy life depends on receiving a dose of Zolgensma - a one time, potentially life-changing treatment that is not approved or funded by Health Canada and is likely administered in the United States unless approved for emergency use in Canada. At $2.8 million CAD, Zolgensma is the most expensive one-time dose therapy in the world. We know it's been a struggle with these unusual protocols we are living through; so, just a reminder that we are open at the Farmers Market for this last weekend before Christmas on Friday from 4-7 and Saturday 10-3. Then we are closed until January 8th, 2021. We still have about 10 awesome baskets filled with a variety of goodies, ranging in price from $45-$125 (lots at the $45-$55 price range). This shouldn’t need to be said; but here goes, AGAIN!! We pride ourselves in providing excellent service to our customers and believe we have the most wonderful, patient and kind staff!! We do not believe it is necessary for you to curse and swear at them simply because you can’t sample our product at this time!!... Times are stressful, we get it. But, just think for one moment, do you have the right to wreck someone’s day? Because that’s exactly what happens when you rant about something so insignificant as being able to refill your bottles or sample the oils and vinegars. We are working within the current parameters re: COVID-19 and are doing our very best to to provide you superior products and excellent service!! As soon as it is safe to do so, we will reinstate our refilling policy and start sampling product, but until then, please be understanding and KIND!!
