We are devastated to share that Highbanks experienced a break-in over the weekend while our Mamas and kiddos were asleep upstairs in their apartments. Fortunately, all of our little families are safe. Unfortunately, our cash box and our valuable box of grocery cards and gift cards were stolen from our locked cupboards. The timing couldn’t have been worse as we head into the holiday season. We are asking you to please consider making a donation to help us replace these impera...tive resources for our families. $50 will buy a month’s worth of diapers for a Mother-led family! January is for counting our blessings! Don’t mind uswe are still basking in the glow that comes from the generosity of our wonderful corporate supporters! We want to thank Inter Pipeline for the generous grant they provided us to help us ensure that our families had access to basic needs. Their support was critical as we struggled through our own COVID-19 outbreak on-site. They provided us crucial funds so that we were able to make sure our little families in isolation had diapers, formula and critical food supplies. We are so grateful for their commitment to and support of Highbanks!

Highbanks Cultural Touchpoint: Radical Hospitality Programming nights usually mean we get to gather and feed our Mama’s and kiddos. While the new COVID-19 restrictions have meant we can’t physically bring our community together for meals - with the help of our generous supporters at the Center Street Church and the Calgary Pregnancy Care Centre, we are able to provide our families with these wonderful ‘meals for two’ which they can enjoy as they tune in for our virtual zoom community learning tonight! We are so grateful that our community partners have rallied behind us to help us get through these challenging times.

Every year at Christmas, we are so fortunate to have many toys donated by our generous community who want to support the work #HighbanksSociety does. Although we currently do not require any more toys, our Mother-led families do have ongoing needs for warm, comfortable, and safe shelter. Our goal this December is to raise $25,000 to help provide secure homes for our young families. Please click the link and consider donating to Highbanks this holiday season.
