Megan Lauridsen, (pictured right) chapter president of the University of British Columbia Okanagan Global Medical/Dental Brigades. Megan is accepting a hotel donation Gift Basket from Katherin Robinson, director of sales for the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Kelowna, which will go to the Brigade’s silent auction in order to raise money for their trip to Honduras in February 2020. Each year the Brigades raise money and gather supplies to bring aid to developing countries and s...truggling remote communities, where there is a great lack of medical and dental care. Each student has a goal to attain a donation of $2.480 which goes towards medicine and equipment. While in these communities, they work along side doctors giving helping hands and needed support. The hotel management and staff of the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Kelowna recognizes the Brigade’s hard work and dedication to helping others. The hotel would like to assist in addition to the gift basket donation, we have a box located in our back office of the hotel for extra donations of new packaged toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, bar soaps, shampoo and conditioners, to which hotel & staff have started gathering. If anyone else would like to add to this donation box, it would really be appreciated. Donations will be accepted until January 15, 2020. Thank you to Megan and the UBCO Medical/Dental Brigade.
