By 2025, about five million Canadians will have diabetes. Dr. Aleksandra Stanimirovic, a postdoc at IHPME, and her supervisor, Dr. Valeria Rac, are looking at the socioeconomic factors affecting whether people get tested for diabetes-related vision loss. Their aim: to develop ways to increase screening in vulnerable populations. Read more:
