Do you know any dogs that are fearful of storms? Please share if you do! Spring/summer can be a safer, less fearful time with a little preparation. Remember, when a storm comes, no matter where you are in the training process, your pet needs a safe place to be (kennel in the house, access to the shop ect). ... For some dogs playing white noise or music that covers the storm noises can help, and give them a Kong with something tasty inside for some distraction. If your pet is not improving with daily training, and continues to be very fearful and anxious, book an appointment with your veterinarian to discuss medications to decrease anxiety. Remember, no one can learn if they are scared!

Every breed has something unique to teach us.
Since COVID is on the rise, we will continue to limit access to the clinic. We also respectfully request that you wear a mask and use the hand sanitizer inside the front door as soon as you enter the clinic. We have many clients and family members who are elderly and want to take every precaution to protect everyone. Thank you in advance.
After much soul-searching, it is with a heavy heart that I am announcing that the Indian Head Animal Clinic will be closing its doors on December 24, 2020. I have decided that it is time for me to move on to other endeavors. I am so thankful for all of your support over the years. My clients and their pets have always been very special to me. Please send requests for file transfers to us at [email protected] or through our app. My future plans include starting a hou...se call end-of-life/palliative care/home euthanasia practice in a few months, once I have taken some time to rest and renew. Your friend always , Dr. Melanie Roth
